Tipton Featured as Yellow House Gallery November Artist of the Month;
Reception Scheduled for Nov. 11

SEBRING, Fla. (Oct. 25, 2016) – In November, the Highlands Art League’s Yellow House Gallery & Gift Shop will celebrate the original artwork of multi-media artist Cynthia Tipton, who will be the Gallery’s November Artist of the Month. The human face and body are the main focus in her work.

“A person’s inner beauty (or lack of it), as well as their sexuality, nature, health, age and attitude are the things I try to capture in my work,” Tipton said. “Though often denied, the animal nature of human beings is inescapable and something I strive to show in my pieces. I have had a 40 year career in healthcare, as a nurse, a nursing home administrator and eventually as a consultant for the nursing home industry. My career has allowed me to witness great joy, grief, stress, fear and resolution in the faces of patients and families. These memories help me show emotion in the art I create.”

Although clay and sculpture are Tipton’s main focus, she enjoys making all types of art, including pottery, painting, and photography. She has been making art since early childhood. She spent most of her life in Ohio, but now resides near Clearwater, FL.

On Friday, Nov. 11, the Yellow House will hold a reception from 5:00-8:00 PM celebrating Tipton’s original artwork. The Artist of the Month Reception is sponsored by: Dell Realty Team of Heartland Real Estate Corp The Yellow House Gallery is open Thursday-Friday 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., and Saturday 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.
